Acclaim Otago Inc

A support group for all people involved with ACC matters. Also involved in lobbying for a return to a fair ACC scheme. Meetings held 4th Tuesday of each month 11.30am at Community House.

Accredited Visiting Service - Age Concern Otago

Volunteer visitors are matched up one to one with lonely or socially isolated older people. Training and support given to volunteers.

Adaptive Snow Sports NZ

Adaptive Snow Sports acts as a national advocate for Adaptive snowsports, supporting programmes at NZ's ski areas and seven active regional branches. Support includes recreational, rehabilitation, educational and competitive programmes, instructor and volunteer training, adaptive equipment and hosting fun and national events. These programmes help remove participation barriers and encourage people with physical or intellectual disabilities to get involved with snowsports. Now part of Snowsports NZ.

ADHD Support Group

Monthly meetings for parents/caregivers of children & adolescents with ADHD and ADD. Access to library, information, support and advocacy through the Co-ordinator of the Family Network (supporting families who have a child with special needs).

Age Concern - Otago

Age Concern is a non profit organisation promoting the wellness of older persons. It networks and co-ordinates with appropriate clubs and agencies, develops and disseminates information on issues affecting older people. Services include Meals on Wheels, Accredited Visitor Service, Friendship Line, Falls Prevention, Age on the Go events, and Safe With Age Driving Courses.

Akamarama Advocacy Inc.

We advocate for and on behalf of blind and sight impaired maori and Pacific Island people and their families in a way that is culturally appropriate. Peer support and advocacy.

Al-Anon Family Groups

Al-Anon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of problem drinkers who meet in order to solve problems due to alcoholism of a loved one in their lives.
